Landlord enquiries came in, my solicitor is drawing up a completion statement – whatever that is – we should exchange contracts any day now and complete the 8th!

(I’m sure they’ll find some way to bugger it up.)

Completion statement is the final settling up bill with the solicitor.
It’s the one where they ask you to transfer them £1 million to cover all their fees and the (*spit* *spit*) stamp duty.

She just emailed it across so I could tell my Dad how mcuh money to hand over this afternoon. (I’m paying it all back, you know, it’s just I’m using a Northern solicitor for their down-to-earth no-nonsense-ness. Oh, and cheap fees.)
    This afternoon. Wooo!

When this is over are you going to tell us who the vendors solicitor is to make sure we never use them?

If it doesn’t count as libel, abso-bloody-lutely.
(Going through the paperwork this morning, Lewisham Council sent a copy of some insurance documents which the vendor’s solicitor forgot to send on. How hard can it be?)

rach – one of the valid defences for libel is that something is true. which in this case clearly it is. so don’t worry about it. just tell us who they are so we can send them dog poo in the post.
